PRESS RELEASE

 

                        The Board has fixed the dates of counseling of candidates for admission to 2 years JBT Course batch/session 2011-2013 for filling up vacant seats to be sponsored to the 18 privately managed institutes affiliated to the privileges of the Board out of the JBT-CET-2010 held on 27th June, 2010. The counseling shall be held w.e.f.12.12.2011 to 14.12.2011 at the headquarters of the Board at Dharmshala each day from 10 AM to 5 PM. The list of candidates being called for the counseling datewise is given below:-

                      The candidates are required to bring along with them their original certificates with attested photocopies thereof in support of their academic qualifications, proof of Domicile (Himachali Certificate) and the category to which they belong. The certificate to be produced in support of the category/sub category to which they belong should have been issued by the competent authority on the prescribed form of the Government. The certificate in respect of candidates belonging to IRDP should have been issued by the competent authority within 6 months as on the date of counseling.

 

                        The candidates are further directed to bring with them a cash of Rs.7500/- which shall be deposited by them at the time counseling with the institution to which they shall be sponsored for admission to 2 years JBT Course. The above candidates have been informed about the counseling dates and fee structure alongwith names of the institutions individually by post. The specimen of counseling letter and specimen of affidavit and Certificate to be furnished by the OBC and Wards of Ex-Servicemen candidates at the time of counseling is also available in our above Website. However, this entire information is also available at our Website hpeducationboard.nic.in. which can be downloaded therefrom. Dear Candidate,

 

                        In pursuance to the instructions issued by the Government of HP Department of Elementary Education vide letter No.EDN.C.B.(12)-1/2009 dated 02.12.2009 and instructions issued by the Director of Elementary Education, HP vide letter No.EDN-H(Ele.)(4)-4-2/09-VII(JBT Admn.) dated 08.12.2009 and instruction issued by the Government of Himachal Pradesh, Elementary Education Department vide its letter No.EDN-C-A-(1)-6/08 dated 26.05.2011 and instructions issued by the Director of Elementary Education, HP vide letter No. .EDN-H(Ele.)(4)-4-2/2009-VII(JBT Admn.) dated 7.6.2011and letter No. .EDN-H(Ele.)(4)-4-2/2009-VIII(JBT Admn.)-4691-4703 dated 2.6.2011 and subsequent letter No.EDN-H(Ele)(4)-4-2/2010-VII(JBT Admn.) dated 1.9.2011 has allowed an intake of JBT seats to the privately managed institutions for the 2 years JBT course for the batch/session 2011-2013, the Board is holding 2nd round of  counseling for filling up of vacant seats and to make selections for admission to 2 years JBT Course for batch/session 2011-2013 in privately managed institutions. The list of institutions given under Annexure “A” enclosed herewith.

                       

                        There are subsidized and non-subsidized seats of JBT for which candidates shall be sponsored on the basis of the merit list of JBT-CET-2010 conducted by the Board in 2010. Your name has figured in the consideration zone for the selection to 2 years JBT Course against the subsidized/non-subsidized seat in your category. Admission to an institution shall depend on availability of seats and order of merit of a candidate in his respective category. The Tuition fee for subsidized/non-subsidized seats is Rs.15,000/- PA and Rs.25,000/- per annum  respectively and the selected candidates in the respective category shall have to deposit a cash of Rs.7500/- as advance Tuition Fee on the spot at the time of counseling and other Monthly/Annual Charges shall be deposited at the time of admission by the selected candidate in the institute itself. As far as the payment of balance tuition fee is concerned, the same shall be split in equal installments and shall be deposited with the institution concerned during the first year of the Training itself. The Fee Structure and Monthly/Annual Charges approved by the Government of Himachal Pradesh Department of Primary Education vide Notification No.EDN-C.A(1)8/2002 dated 24.3.2004 are given under Annexure “B” enclosed herewith.                       

                       

                        You are, therefore, directed to appear for counseling on 14.12.2011 at 10 AM sharp before the Counseling Committee constituted by the Board for selecting the candidates for admission to 2 years JBT Course for batch/session 2011-2013 in the privately managed institutions. The counseling shall be held at the Headquarter’s of the Board at Dharamshala on the scheduled date and time. You will appear before the Committee against your JBT Entrance Test 2010 Roll Number already allotted to you. No TA/DA shall be admissible for appearing for the said counseling.  The counseling shall be held taking into consideration the following components as already given in the Brochure:-

                        ELIGIBILITY:-

                        Minimum Essential Educational Qualifications for JBT-CET:-

                        (A) Senior Secondary School Certificate or Intermediate or 10+2 or its equivalent

                              examination with at least 50% marks for 10+2  candidates only.

                        (B) 45% in 10+2 for Graduate candidates.

                        

                        Note:-For the purpose of computing percentage of marks the candidates with at least                          49.5% and 44.5% marks shall be eligible.

                                    You are also directed to bring with you your original certificates with attested photocopies thereof in support of your Age, Academic Qualification, Proof of Domicile (Himachali Certificate) and the Category to which you belong. The certificate to be produced in support of the category/sub-category to which you belong should have been issued by the competent authority on the prescribed form of the Government.

                                                                                                                                   

(1)FOR IRDP (BPL) CANDIDATES:-The IRDP(BPL)certificate should have been issued by the competent authority within 6 months as on the date of counseling.

 

(2) FOR SC/ST CANDIDATES:-   SC/ST certificate issued by  the competent authority.       

 

(3)FOR OBC CANDIDATES:-The OBC certificate should have been issued by the competent authority within 2 years as on the date of counseling. In case the OBC certificate is more than 2 years, the OBC candidates shall submit an Affidavit (On Stamp Paper of Rs. 5/-) duly attested by the Ist class Magistrate/Oath Commissioner stating “That his/her status has not been changed and he/she is not excluded from the category of Other Backward Classes (OBC) on account of being covered under Creamy Layer” as per the instructions issued by the Govt. of HP.  The specimen of Affidavit is given in the Annexure-“C” enclosed herewith.

 

(4)FOR EX-SERVICEMEN:-Discharge Book (with attested copy)/Certificate from Dy.Director, Sainik Welfare Office of the District concerned.

 

(5)FOR WARDS OF EX- SERVICEMEN:-(A) Latest Certificate from the Patwari/Pradhan of Gram Panchyat/President of Municipal Committee or Notified Area Committee/Executive Officer of the Municipal Corporation of the area duly countersigned by the Tehsildar/SDM of the area and (B) Latest Affidavit (On Stamp Paper of Rs. 5/-) duly attested by the Tehsildar/SDM of the area on the prescribed form. The specimen of certificate & Affidavit is given at A&B respectively in the Annexure-“C” enclosed herewith. Copy of discharge Book of his/her father issued by the Army.

 

 (6) FOR PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED:- Minimum 40% disability. Medical certificate issued by the Medical Board duly countersigned by the Chief Medical Officer (C.MO).

 

(7) FOR CHILDREN/GRAND CHILDREN OF FREEDOM FIGHTER CANDIDATES:- Certificate issued by the competent authority.

     

                          In case you fail to attend the counseling session on the scheduled date and time, it will be presumed that you are no more interested for the admission to the 2 years JBT Course and the seat will be offered to next eligible candidate as per merit of the JBT-CET in the respective category.

Essential:   The fee structure should be as decided by the State Government from time to time. In any case the total fee and other charges collected from a student should not exceed the per pupil recurring expenditure of the institution.
